We still hear it every week: “Marketing isn’t working.”
Usually that means someone turned on Meta and Google, collected names, and discovered the business never decided who it was for.
That is not a channel failure. That is a strategy vacuum with a media invoice attached.
The paragraph test
Before another campaign:
- Who is this for (city, ticket, urgency)?
- What do they get that a competitor cannot copy this quarter?
- What happens in the first 24 hours after they enquire?
- What does finance count as a win?
If those answers live only in the founder’s head, your agency is guessing. Guessing at ₹5L–₹50L/month is expensive.

Ads amplify whatever you already are
Weak offer → cheaper clicks on people who cannot buy.
Slow follow-up → speed-to-lead leak.
No landing match → why ads are not converting.
None of that is fixed by a new campaign objective.
Strategy is constraints, not slogans
Real constraints we map before spend:
- Margin and ticket size
- Inventory or stock that can actually be sold this month
- How many conversations sales can handle without quality collapse
- Legal / claims limits (especially healthcare)
If your only brief is “more leads,” we will probably decline. Vanity volume is not a programme. Proof lens: case studies.
What we do instead
- Write the buyer and the non-buyer
- Match the page to the ad promise — landing pages
- Name the CRM stage worth optimising — offline conversions
- Then structure media — paid social and search ads
Next step
If you can describe budget band, offer, and what failed last quarter in one WhatsApp, we can tell you whether this is media or strategy. Book a strategy call.
